THE GARDENS

The gardens are particularly spectacular in Spring with displays of early bulbs, rhododendrons and azaleas but they have their own special character throughout the year. There are seating areas around the gardens to enjoy a drink  watching the many species of bird - from goldcrests to eagles - that can be seen in or over the grounds. Deer can usually be seen (and in autumn heard!), and you might be lucky enough to see Red Squirrels in the tops of our oaks. On summer evenings, the gardens are bustling with bats, hedgehogs and owls. Next door is Kinlochlaich Gardens, run by Fiona Hutchison, with an octagonal walled garden, Bluebell Woodland Walk and nursery selling many rare plants- a gardener's paradise. The area around the house is traditionally farmed creating the area's characterful landscape.
